Built to a standard that gets reviewed by someone else

Prism Productions is an event production and film company template built for the Webflow Marketplace. Service pages cover live event production, film and video, stage and set design, lighting and technical AV, and broadcast and live streaming, with a CMS handling the portfolio, blog, testimonials and team.

  • Past work shown properly rather than squeezed into a single list
  • A page of its own for each of the five services
  • Every generated page carrying its own title and description
  • A CMS the team can keep updated themselves after handover

Early exploration

Sketches and wireframes

Every collection needs template pages that behave, every dynamic page needs SEO bound to the right field, and every class name has to be readable enough that a stranger can extend the site without unpicking it first.

The specific trap on a build this size is that things look finished from the front end while being wrong underneath. Two section headings bound to the same CMS field is invisible on the page and means half the content authors write never appears anywhere.

Working through the structure

Project results

Twelve portfolio case studies and nine articles written and populated in full.

SEO bound dynamically on the CMS template pages so every generated page carries its own title and description from the right fields. On the blog template the title had been bound to the slug rather than the name, which would have published every article titled as a URL string. Caught and rebound.

Found and fixed a binding fault on the portfolio template where two separate section headings pointed at the same CMS field, so one field's content was being stored and never rendered. Class names audited across the site and corrected to Client-First block and element convention.
